Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about our platform and services. Find the answers you need to get started with Elderwise.

Is the Elderwise app free to use?

Yes. The Elderwise Caregiver App is completely free for families and individual caregivers. You can download it, create an account, and start completing health assessments at no cost. Our Professional and Enterprise plans are designed for healthcare organizations that need clinical dashboards, team management, and integration features.

Do I need medical training to use Elderwise?

No medical training is required. The app is designed for family caregivers and uses AI-guided prompts that walk you through clinically validated assessments in plain language. You answer questions about daily observations and the AI translates them into clinically meaningful summaries.

Where is my data stored?

Elderwise follows a privacy-first approach. Assessment data is stored locally on your device by default. When you choose to share data with a healthcare provider, it is transmitted using AES-256 encryption and stored in secure, regionally-compliant cloud infrastructure. You maintain full control over what is shared and with whom.

Can I share reports with my healthcare provider?

Yes. Elderwise generates clinical summaries that you can securely share with your healthcare team. If your provider uses the Elderwise Clinical Platform, they can receive summaries directly in their dashboard. You can also export PDF reports to share during appointments or via email.

What devices does Elderwise support?

The Elderwise Caregiver App is available on iOS and Android smartphones and tablets. The Clinical Platform for healthcare providers is a web-based application that works on any modern browser, including Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge. We also support integration with wearable devices for continuous health monitoring.

Is Elderwise designed for HIPAA compliance?

Elderwise is designed with HIPAA compliance requirements in mind. We implement AES-256 encryption for data at rest and in transit, role-based access controls (RBAC), multi-factor authentication (MFA), and comprehensive audit logging. Formal HIPAA certification is currently in progress. We are also aligned with Singapore PDPA regulations and pursuing ISO 27001 and ISO 42001 certifications.
